About this series:

The ECOLOGÍA series recalls the tradition of European guitar making of our great-grandfathers. Back then, tonewood was used that grew and was available on the doorstep. It was not until much later that the international wood trade, also with tropical woods, displaced the local woods that had been used for decades.

Manuel Rodriguez thinks highly of these old traditions and has launched an environmentally green series built from European woods spruce, walnut, maple and acacia. Not a single tropical wood is used. Handmade in Europe from European woods.

The ECOLOGÍA are available in 5 sizes up to the small 1/4.

The ECOLOGÍA are tonally more moderately tuned and designed for a more balanced sound. The ecologically natural design clearly sets them apart from all other guitars.

The neck construction has a traditional dovetail joint. The maple neck is unstained in a natural, light matte finish. The 4/4 model is delivered with a fitted armrest.

The Manuel Rodríguez ECOLOGÍA series harks back to the traditions of European guitar making of the great-grandfathers. At that time, only tonewood that grew on the doorstep and was available was used. Only much later did the international trade, including tropical woods, displace the local woods that had been tried and tested for decades.

In essence, the series is based on these old traditions and is thus ecologically up to date. Not a single piece of tropical wood is used. Instead, European woods such as spruce, walnut, maple and acacia are used. Furthermore, only water-based eco-matt lacquer is used. This overall ecologically sustainable design clearly sets the ECOLOGÍA series apart from other guitars.

In terms of sound, the instruments, which are handmade in Europe, are moderately tuned and designed for a balanced sound. This is ensured, among other things, by the traditional neck construction with dovetail joint, which guarantees not only high stability but also very good vibration transmission.

A special feature of all Manuel Rodríguez 4/4 guitars is the GEWA armrest, which offers two definite advantages: With its rounded shape, it ensures a particularly pleasant playing feel and allows the top to vibrate freely over the entire surface, as it prevents damping by the right arm being placed on top.

More sound, more comfort.

German-made Hannabach 815HTC strings are wound at the factory and round off the sound concept of this series perfectly.

The instruments of the Manuel Rodríguez ECOLOGÍA series are available in all five commercially available sizes up to the small 1/4 guitar.
