Brian Witkin is an award-winning music producer, artist, and songwriter. He is also a founding member of the Nā Hōkū Hanohano (Hawaiian Grammy®) nominated group Slack Key 'Ohana. Brian contributes his vocal and instrumental talents to his band, playing guitar, lap steel, and ukulele, and lending his voice as both a lead and backup vocalist. On stage, his go-to instrument is an Ovation Celebrity CSE225 dual neck, with the 12-string neck in slack key tuning, and the 6-string neck in standard tuning, with additional six and 12 string Ovation Standard Balladeers at the ready. Growing up in a musical family, Brian has been surrounded by music from a young age and has been playing Ovation Guitars since the he was 15 years old. His father, Joe Witkin, was the original keyboard player for Sha Na Na and performed at the iconic Woodstock Festival of 1969. Outside of his work as a musician, Brian has enjoyed a successful career on the business side both as an entertainment attorney and CEO of Pacific Records. Brian is also a Voting Member of The Recording Academy and the Hawai’i Academy of Recording Arts.
